In – N – Out

After growing up in Southern California, I finally had lunch at In-N-Out Burger, It is a chain in California with a cult like following. It was crazy busy when we were there at 2:00 in the afternoon. It was fantastic. Pilot Falcon fountain pen with Noodler’s Bulletproof black ink and Holbein watercolors in a Stillman and Birn sketchbook.

Red Neck Hot Tub

At our friends weekend house they have what they call is a Red Neck Hot Tub. It is a galvanized horse trough with 6 cut logs around it to sit on. It is filled with cold water and you sit and relax over cocktails with your feet and legs hanging in the tub to cool off. Great idea and wonderful to use. Blue Angels

We were in San Francisco during Fleet Week and Columbus Day Holiday. The city hosts a 2 day air show featuring the Blue Angels, the U.S. Navy’s precision air team. Growing up, my dad and I would go to a couple of air shows a year and I have always loved seeing the Blue Angels. This was my first experience in a city. The sound reverberating off of the buildings was amazing and you could not tell what direction the planes were. This was just practice for the weekend show. Still really cool seeing the planes over the city and flying low over the bay.
