This sketch is based on a photograph taken last week at Soltice Restaurant in Kingston, MA. The Adirondack chairs and old luggage cart appear as if they are waiting for the snow to melt and Spring to arrive along the tracks. This train station was built in 1889 for the Old Colony Railroad. There was passenger service to this station (mostly for the New York, New Haven & Hartford RR, which took over this line in 1893) until 1959.
