Salem Witch Sailboat

A cloudy, dreary day on Cape Cod. The Salem Witch Sailboat sits on stands at the Oyster River Boat Works for the season. Pilot Falcon fountain pen with Noodler’s Bulletproof black ink and Holbein watercolors in a Stillman and Birn sketchbook.

Nice painting. I really like the seletive colour/ areas of greyscale. I didn’t realize that boats went that much beneath the water.

Thanks Shawn. Sailboats have very deep hulls to counter balance the size/height of the mast and sails.
