Milford Boatworks

Traveling back from New York from another club presentation, I stopped in Milford Connecticut. There is a wonderful waterfront with lots of marinas and boats. This is a quick pen and ink sketch from the car of a small out building at the Milford Boatworks. Lamy Safari fountain pen with Noodler’s black ink in a Stillman and Birn sketchbook.

Little Neck Shoreline

A beautiful part of the coastline in Little Neck, New York. This is actually in the borough of Queens in New York City. A peaceful oasis within the city. This caught my eye with the undulating seawall and the contrast between the bright green grass and the very dark rocks. Garden Fountain II

We spent a very nice Father’s Day at my In-laws house. The weather was beautiful sitting on the patio listening to the fountain spilling into the pool. The blue on the water is too much and should be more subtle with a little darker background. Framingham CC Pool

Another country club project master plan through the office. This is a view of the pool building at Framingham Country Club in Framingham, Massachusetts. The bright orange umbrellas were what drew me to this scene. Lamy Safari fountain pen with Noodler’s black ink and Holbein watercolors in a Stillman and Birn Beta sketchbook.

“I must have flowers, always, and always.” – Claude Monet

A couple of quick sketches of some of the flowers that we have in our garden. They are all perennials and the Lupines and Bleeding Hearts are new this year. Lamy fountain pen with Noodler’s black ink and Holbein watercolors in a Stillman and Birn sketchbook.

Osteria La Civetta

Dinner tonight at the Osteria La Civetta on Main Street in Falmouth, Massachusetts on Cape Cod. A wonderful Italian restaurant with the feel of a small café in Italy. Family owned and wonderful food.
