The view from our room on the 41st floor of the Marriott Marquis Atlanta. Simple line sketch with black as seen sitting in a chair looking out the floor to ceiling glass wall.

Very Difficult Perspective
Looking up 52 stories in the atrium of John Portman’s Marriott Marquis in Atlanta. Classic building and first of its kind. There must be 30 vanishing points out more in this view. Also the only straight lines are the glass elevator tracks. Black Faber-Castell Pitt pens in an Alpha Series Stillman and Birn Sketchbook. Below is a photo from a similar angle if you are not familiar with the view.
Coming and Going
After returning from a wonderful vacation, I am in the office for 1 day and then I am off on Southwest Airlines again. This time to Atlanta for the National American Institute of Architects Annual Conference. This sketch of our plan at the gate in Providence will be very similar to the view of my flight tomorrow leaving Boston.
