The sun was glistening off of the surf at the beach near 13th Avenue South in Naples. I am actually pretty satisfied with this drawing in my sketchbook fit capturing the waves and the sun reflection. Utrecht watercolors in my Stillman and Birn Travel Journal.

Dinner last night at the Bay House in Naples Florida. This jazz
trio was playing in the tavern under a neon live bait sign. The ink and watercolor sketch was completed from a photograph this morning in my Travel Journal.

The flowers here in Naples are beautiful. I have always loved the Bird of Paradise, we had them in our yard growing up. Vibrant oranges with red

Traveled from the 32 degrees in New England this morning to 91 degrees in Naples, FL. A quick watercolor sketch a the first in a new sketchbook and the first entry into the new Travel Journal.
