Oysters

A small sketch of local oysters from a photo on the internet. Oysters are amazing in that they are the most economical farmed seafood. They are filter feeders and can filter an amazing amount of water and clean it from impurities. Christmas Party

A sketch of the beautiful table centerpieces at our company Christmas Party. The event was held at Al Forno in Providence and was wonderful. Great food, lovely space and fun with co-workers and families. The centerpieces were created by a friend of the owner and were a mixture of greens, gold and silver ribbon, metallic ornaments and small birch logs. Thanksgiving Eve

Thanksgiving in the United States is a holiday for giving thanks and celebrating the harvest. The evening before we spend with dear friends for wonderful food, drinks and conversation at the warm home of Keith and Katherine. This year our architecture classmates from Oklahoma State University joined us from Los Angeles, CA and Brooklyn, NY. The dinner consists of Cheese pizza and Mussels in a seafood essence marinara sauce. This tradition started in New Jersey with Keith’s family as take-out food as way to not to have to cook while prepping for all of the food for Thanksgiving. The homemade marinara is made with lobster bodies cooked in the marinara for the lobster essence. This is served with plenty of bread and grilled local oysters for an appetizer. American Lobster

A quick sketch tonight before dinner. The American Lobster, Homarus americanus, is a species of lobster found on the Atlantic Coast of North America from Labrador to New Jersey. It is also known as True Lobster or Maine Lobster. It can reach a body length of 25 inches, and a weight of over 44 pounds, making it the heaviest crustacean in the world. American lobsters are usually bluish green to brown with red spines, but a number of color variations have been observed.
