Cape Rep Theatre

The Cape Rep Theatre was founded in 1986 in Brewster, Massachusetts on Cape Cod. Their current home is the former Camp Monomoy which includes the Indoor Theatre (former Dining Hall), Outside Theatre, Cape House and the Barn shown in this sketch. The Barn was built in in the late 19th century. A current fund raising effort is underway to restore the barn for continued use by Cape Rep. Tonight we saw an amazing performance of Hairspray. Fantastic show and a very talented group of actors and singers. Pilot Falcon fountain pen with Noodler’s Bulletproof black ink and Holbein watercolors in a Stillman and Birn sketchbook.

Westport River Vineyards

We had a great time at the Summer Concert Series at Westport River Vineyards in Westport, Massachusetts. A very stormy evening with lightning all around, but it held off until the concert was almost complete. A fun thing to do on a summer evening. You can bring your own food and drink with beer and wine made on the property available also in addition to a raw bar and a food truck that had excellent food. This is a sketch of a barn and silo on an adjacent property. It was tucked amongst an abundance of green foliage. Seaweed

A beautiful day on the beach at Little Harbor in Wareham, Massachusetts. Some interesting seaweed that comes in a multitude of greens from lime green to very dark green. The seaweed attaches itself to small shells for a little weight and then gets pushed along the bottom or suspended in the water by the tides and waves. The start of a great weekend with some of my college friends in town from the Washington D.C. area. Our class at Oklahoma State University School of Architecture was affectionately known as the Finks. Dinner tonight is at our favorite restaurant, The Blue Eyed Crab in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Maximus

Traveling from New Jersey, I got off the interstate in Old Saybrook, Connecticut. A great little town with cafes and restaurants in the old section of town. This is Maximus Antiques. The layers of plants and flowers were both in front of the shop as well as the roadway medium.
