1948 Ford F-6

Saw this rusted 1948 Ford F-6 truck cab without the flatbed at Westport River vineyards. The first-generation Ford T-series was a series of pick-up trucks and commercial vehicles produced by Ford. Introduced in 1948, the F-Series was the first post-war truck design from Ford. In a break from previous Ford trucks, the F-Series was no longer based upon its car chassis, but on a dedicated truck platform.  It had a flat, one-piece windshield and integrated headlamps and a wider cab. Options included the “See-Clear” windshield washer (operated by foot plunger), passenger-side windshield wiper & sun visor, and passenger-side taillight. The F-1 truck was also available with additional chrome trim and two horns as an option. Pilot Falcon fountain pen with Noodler’s Bulletproof black ink in a Stillman and Birn sketchbook.

Westport River Vineyards

We had a great time at the Summer Concert Series at Westport River Vineyards in Westport, Massachusetts. A very stormy evening with lightning all around, but it held off until the concert was almost complete. A fun thing to do on a summer evening. You can bring your own food and drink with beer and wine made on the property available also in addition to a raw bar and a food truck that had excellent food. This is a sketch of a barn and silo on an adjacent property. It was tucked amongst an abundance of green foliage. A sketch of an elevation study for one of my current projects at the office. This is a study for a portion of the rear elevation of the clubhouse at North Hempstead Country Club in North Hempstead, NY. Trying to blend a new addition Grill Room to the existing architecture of a curved ballroom with a majority of glass. Various black pens with Faber Castell Pitt Art pens in grey on tracing paper.

Fink Weekend

The start of a great weekend with some of my college friends in town from the Washington D.C. area. Our class at Oklahoma State University School of Architecture was affectionately known as the Finks. Dinner tonight is at our favorite restaurant, The Blue Eyed Crab in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Maximus

Traveling from New Jersey, I got off the interstate in Old Saybrook, Connecticut. A great little town with cafes and restaurants in the old section of town. This is Maximus Antiques. The layers of plants and flowers were both in front of the shop as well as the roadway medium. Wareham Boosters

A design concept for a simple replacement structure for the Wareham Boosters Snack and Ticket Stand at the football field in Wareham, Massachusetts. The boosters are looking to raise money and secure a grant for rebuilding this area. This quick study will be cleaned up and used for a presentation to the city. Life Guard Tower

Picture perfect day at Nauset Beach in Orleans on Cape Cod. Everyone is taking advantage of the beautiful weather. The water is very refreshing with small waves. This is a black and white sketch of the Life Guard Tower across from the main access point. The background was a blur of color from the people and umbrellas, but I did not have time to complete the color. Sixth Precinct

This was a great little structure located in the parking lot of the Americana Manhasset Mall in Manhasset, New York. I assume it was for the local police department that patrols the mall.
